Photos from Community Event - Stoneleigh Park

Today, Officers from St James and Waterhead Neighbourhood Team and Operation Vulcan attended a community event in Stoneleigh Park, Derker. 

The event organised by local community group - Friends of Stoneleigh Park (FOSP), was part of the council's holiday activities (HAF) for the local community.

Officers regularly attend these events to meet and speak with residents, with the aim to improve confidence and trust in the Police and to help build and strengthen relationships with young people.

Children had the opportunity to meet Officers, sit in Police vehicles, test out the blue lights and try on uniform.

FOSP have recently been successful in getting funding for the park which will be spent on refurbishing the play area, sports courts, benches and lots more.
